THIS WEEK! ACCEPT At the SL ENQUIRER HQ!

 The stage is set!  The paparazzi have not been fed in over a week!  Everything is in readiness for Saturday's performance of ACCEPT at the headquarters of the SL Enquirer (who sponsor this blog! - Thanks Lanai)

CEO and Editor Lanai Jarrico is a long lime supporter of Independent Ballet, and it is great to be able to perform for her once again!

In ACCEPT, four young women struggle with their sense of self and their place in the world around them.  They are united by one thing - their love of dance.  ACCEPT follows the journey of these young ladies as they are each uniquely challenged, and as they come together. They learn lessons of tolerance, compassion, and empathy as they come of age as dancers, and as women.

Make sure you get to see this original work that everyone is raving about before their tour ends. Only a few dates left.

Independent Ballet is noted for its dedication to ballets which tell stories, using dance and the dance form to enhance the emotionality and drama of the tale told.  Today, ACCEPT will be a featured performance at the Third Annual STORYFEST celebration on Bran, where authors, storytellers and presenters of literature from all over the grid gather for one day to share their tales.

ACCEPT Performs in Benefit at Brokeback!

Our tour is fully launched and on its way!  Stop #2 - The LGBT  Center's Drama Queen Theatre at Brokeback Pride HQ.  This performance is a benefit for the Brokeback Mountain sim's LGBT Civil Rights Center, which has been teaching tolerance, promoting advocacy, and fighting for Gay rights in SL since 2005.  (great promo post on the Gay Archipelago website today!)

A great cause and a great show!  Don't miss either one!

"ACCEPT" ~ IBC's Newest Production!

In ACCEPT, four young women struggle with their sense of self and their place in the world around them.  They are united by one thing - their love of dance.  ACCEPT follows the journey of these young ladies as they are each uniquely challenged, and as they come together. They learn lessons of tolerance, compassion, and empathy as they come of age as dancers, and as women.

Based on an original concept by IBC's Deyna Broek, ACCEPT is set in our times, features a mix of ballet and modern dance styles, and IBC's signature blending of solo and group-synced performance.
