THIS WEEK! ACCEPT At the SL ENQUIRER HQ!

The stage is set!  The paparazzi have not been fed in over a week!  Everything is in readiness for Saturday's performance of ACCEPT at the headquarters of the SL Enquirer (who sponsor this blog! - Thanks Lanai)

CEO and Editor Lanai Jarrico is a long lime supporter of Independent Ballet, and it is great to be able to perform for her once again!

In ACCEPT, four young women struggle with their sense of self and their place in the world around them.  They are united by one thing - their love of dance.  ACCEPT follows the journey of these young ladies as they are each uniquely challenged, and as they come together. They learn lessons of tolerance, compassion, and empathy as they come of age as dancers, and as women.

Make sure you get to see this original work that everyone is raving about before their tour ends. Only a few dates left.

ACCEPT at the Headquarters of the SL Enquirer, Saturday, June 8th at 2:00pm SLT

Thank You SL Enquirer for All Your Support, and for Being a Terrific Audience!

...and for the Popcorn! YUM!

The Audience gathering on the back lawn of the SL Enquirer Headquarters
We had a great time at the SL Enquirer Media Center today.  Editor-in-Chief Lanai Jarrico has been a long time supporter from way back in the Swan days and it was great to be here again with this project.

The Cast shifts nervously back stage, waiting for the performance to begin.

There's GREAT News, and there's GOOD News!

The Great News is that we are thrilled to be bck at the SL Enquirer Meda Center (And Chill Lounge!) where Lanai has set up a special Audience entrance complete with popcorn and Red Carpet ... and perhaps paparazzi too!  So get there early, grab your bag and find the perfect seat for the performance.  It starts (grid willing!) at 2pm SLT Today!

Now for the Good News ... this is not the last performance!  We have one more performance next week at Terrabithia (LM pending) and them we have been asked to perform at a language symposium in late September.  The September performance is not for certain just yet.  But the performance at 2pm on Saturday, August 11th is.  Stay tuned for information on the location, and pass the word: "One more week before Petah and her friends dance into the sunset for good!"

Independent Ballet says, "Thank You!"

Mille Gracie to two ladies who have been especially kind to IBC recently...

Lanai Jarrico, Editor-in-Chief of the SL Enquirer...
Lanai is a lover of creativity and a supporter of arts and music all over the grid.  She saw that IBC had no web presence and thought we should have one.  So she generously gave of her time and the sponsorship of SLE and created one for us.  It was just what we needed!  Thank You! Thank You!

Virus Writer, Blogger ...
Virus attended last weekend's performance of Petah & The Wolf at Kenya: Feed-a-Smile.  The performance there raised money for 31 meals for children in Kenya, administered by the two year old charity which is run in Second Life by Brique Topaz.

Virus was so impressed by the performance that she wrote about it on her blog, including some excellent performance photos!  CLICK HERE to see them!  A hundred, thousand thanks for the kind words and the posting!
